Before Treatment

A lash lift is one of the most straightforward procedures you can have, but nonetheless, it’s essential to find a professional beauty clinic that prioritises safety, hygiene and quality. Before you agree to a lash lift, we advise you to visit the clinic for an assessment. We will examine your history, assess your current eyelashes and ensure you receive the most suitable treatment.
Our specialists will also advise how best to prepare for your lash lift appointment. Steps often include avoiding eye makeup, contact lenses, false eyelashes, and waterproof mascara around 24-48 hours before your appointment.
You should have a patch test at least 24 hours before your session. The patch test will involve applying a small amount of the lash lift solution on your body. This test helps pick up on any adverse reactions, such as allergies, that may arise should you proceed with the lash lift.
If you have an eye infection, such as conjunctivitis, you must inform the clinic and re-schedule your appointment to a day when the infection will have cleared.

During Treatment

On the day of your lash lift procedure, we recommend you visit the clinic with a clean face free of makeup, oils, skin care products or false eyelashes. We will also usually advise that you don’t wear contact lenses.
When you arrive, we will remind you about the procedure process and discuss your preferences, including the desired lash lift style and level of curl and lift you want.
The practitioner will prepare your lashes for treatment by gently cleaning them. Protective materials will be placed over your upper and lower eyelids to protect them during the procedure. The treatment is painless; the only discomfort you may feel is mild tugging or tingling.
A lifting solution will be applied to the eyelashes, helping them set to the desired curled shapes. After leaving the solution to settle for several minutes, a neutralising solution locks the shape in place.
The whole procedure can usually take up to 45 minutes to an hour.

After Treatment

Following a lash lift, the practitioner should provide aftercare instructions to help you get the best out of your treatment.
Within 24-48 hours after treatment, you should avoid wearing makeup or entering hot water, steam rooms or swimming pools. We advise that you don’t touch or rub your eyes as much as possible and don’t rub or pull on the eyelashes themselves.
