What is Sunekos?

Sunekos® is an injectable skin treatment designed to improve skin quality by stimulating the production of collagen and elastin. Unlike dermal fillers, Sunekos® does not add volume or change facial shape. Instead, it works by restoring the skin’s extracellular matrix, the structure responsible for skin firmness, elasticity and hydration.

How does Sunekos® work?

Sunekos® is a regenerative injectable treatment that improves skin quality by stimulating the body’s natural production of collagen and elastin. It contains a patented combination of non-cross-linked hyaluronic acid and six amino acids (HY6AA), which are essential for collagen synthesis.

Rather than filling or lifting the skin, Sunekos® works within the dermis to activate fibroblasts and rebuild the extracellular matrix (ECM). This helps improve skin density, elasticity and hydration while maintaining a completely natural appearance.

Because it focuses on restoring skin structure rather than adding volume, Sunekos® is particularly effective for delicate areas such as the under eyes, neck and décolletage where traditional fillers may not be suitable.

How does the treatment work?

Sunekos® works by stimulating fibroblasts within the dermis. These cells are responsible for producing collagen and elastin, which maintain skin strength and elasticity. When will I see results from Sunekos®?

What side effects could I experience?

Most side effects are mild and temporary. These can include slight swelling, redness or bruising at the injection site. These usually settle quickly and most patients return to normal activities immediately after treatment.

Is treatment painful?

Sunekos® injections are performed using very fine needles and are generally well tolerated. Most patients describe the treatment as mildly uncomfortable rather than painful. Anaesthetic cream can be used if required.

Will my face look natural after treatment?

Yes. Sunekos® does not change facial shape or add volume. Its purpose is to improve skin quality, elasticity and hydration, resulting in healthier-looking skin rather than an “enhanced” appearance.

How many treatments will I need?

Most treatment protocols involve two sessions. The first treatment combines Sunekos® 1200 and Sunekos® Performa, followed by a second treatment with Sunekos® Performa two weeks later. Maintenance treatments are typically recommended every six months.
