Sculptra Butt Lift in Bolton, Manchester

Sculptra butt lift is an aesthetic procedure that will improve the appearance of your bottom. This non-invasive treatment involves injecting poly-L-lactic acid into the skin to trigger the body's natural collagen production cycle. Sculptra adds volume to the bottom, enhancing the skin's appearance and improving cellulite. You will see results within 3 months which can last for several years.

Sculptra Butt Lift in Bolton

The Sculptra butt lift is rapidly gaining in popularity due to the trend for larger, more rounded and lifted bottoms. Traditionally done by fat transfer, the procedure is not without risk, and there have been a few published cases of death caused by the injection of fat into large blood vessels. This is why butt lift procedures that use a biostimulator, such as Sculptra, are surging in popularity in the USA because of the higher degree of safety.

Volume is built up over at least 3 sessions or until the desired result is achieved. The effect of Sculptra can last many years, improving the appearance of cellulite and firming the skin.

The team at Enhance went to Florida to be trained in this procedure and offer training to UK practitioners.

We are based in Bolton, offering clients in Greater Manchester life-changing treatments like a Sculptra butt lift.

What is Sculptra?

Sculptra – is a safe, synthetic, and biocompatible material that is injected below the surface of the skin. It is made up of microspheres (a spherical shell that is usually made of a biodegradable or resorbable plastic polymer, that has a very small diameter usually in the micrometer or nanometer range, and that is often filled with a substance, as a drug or antibody, for release as the shell is degraded) of poly-L-lactic acid forty to sixty microns in size. Because poly-L-lactic acid is the main ingredient in Sculptra, patients don’t require a test for allergic reactions.

Sculptra is approved to treat lipoatrophy, the progressive facial volume loss seen in most HIV patients, and has recently been approved for cosmetic purposes.

The Results of Sculptra Are Not Immediate

At your first treatment visit, it may appear that Sculptra worked immediately because of swelling from the injections and the water used to dilute Sculptra.

A few days following the treatment, when the swelling goes down, and your body absorbs the water, you may look as you did before. Sculptra takes time to correct the depression in your skin gradually.

Your doctor will decide the appropriate number of treatment sessions and the amount of Sculptra you need at each session. Multiple sessions are often required, and patients with severe facial fat loss may require 3 to 6 treatments.

Side Effects of Sculptra

Side effects of Sculptra may include the delayed appearance of small bumps under the skin in the treated area, bleeding, tenderness or discomfort, redness, bruising, or swelling at the injection site.

You may also experience any of the following: poor cosmetic result, extrusion, infection, unequal lips, folds, or other areas, possible further treatment, swelling, granuloma formation (lumps), allergic reaction, firm hard areas on lips, folds, or lines, inadequate augmentation. The augmentation cannot be called permanent. Re-absorption of implant will probably occur.

The practice of medicine is not an exact science, and therefore, reputable practitioners cannot guarantee results. The results of the injections may not last for as long or as well as expected. There are no promises or guarantees regarding the degree of improvement when using Sculptra.

How does Sculptra® work?

Sculptra® is injected below the surface of the skin; it is injected directly into the area of fat loss. Skin thickness decreases as people age; Sculptra® works to restore a gradual increase in skin thickness. Visible results appear within the first few treatment sessions.

Sculptra® will not correct the underlying cause of the facial fat loss, but will help improve the appearance by increasing skin thickness in the treated area.

No skin testing is required prior to use.

  • An ice pack can be applied to the treatment area to help reduce swelling after the injections are administered.
  • After your Sculptra® treatment session, the injection area should be thoroughly massaged to distribute the product evenly.

What can I expect after treatment?

Immediately following a treatment session with Sculptra®, redness, swelling, pain, bruising or all of these signs may occur in the treatment area. These signs and symptoms usually go away on their own in a few hours to a few days. Some, however, have been known to last up to 17 days. Your practitioner will give you specific post-treatment care instructions. You should massage the treated area (a few times each day) for several days after your treatment. Within the first 24 hours after treatment, an ice pack should be applied for a few minutes at a time to the treatment area to help reduce swelling. Wrap the ice in a cloth and avoid putting ice directly on your skin, as prolonged exposure to extremely cold temperatures can be harmful. Avoid excessive exposure, and avoid UV lamp exposure until any initial swelling and redness has resolved.

Report any worsening or longer-lasting symptoms.

How quickly can I get back to my daily activities?

Most patients feel comfortable going back to their normal activities following treatment. No downtime is usually required.

What are the possible side effects of treatment with Sculptra®?

The most common side effects that patients see with the use of Sculptra® include injection-related side effects at the site of the injection such as bleeding, tenderness or pain, bruising, redness, or swelling. These side effects generally last, on average, 3 to 17 days.

One possible delayed side effect that you may see with Sculptra® is small bumps under the skin in the treated area. These small bumps may not be visible; you may notice them only when you press on the treated skin. These bumps tend to happen within the first 6 to 12 months after the first Sculptra® treatment. Occasionally, these bumps go away on their own. Visible bumps, sometimes with redness or color change to the treated area, have also been reported. As with all procedures that involve an injection through the skin, there is a risk of infection.

Who should not use Sculptra®?

You should not use Sculptra® if you are allergic to any ingredient of Sculptra®.

Do treatment results differ?

To get the best results, it's important to go to a practitioner who is experienced in administering Sculptra®.
